NTT Data Centre
In April 2012, NTT Communications opened its Serangoon Data Centre. Singapore was the location of choice as the ICT hub has low natural disaster risk. The country is also one of the core economic centres of Asia. Therefore, having a data centre here will help the company to have timely responses to the demand of multinational corporations here. The centre was self-designed, purpose-built to have multiple power facilities. This will protect the centre from power failures and sudden accidents. Furthermore, the Serangoon Data Centre has direct connection to “Asia Submarine-cable Express” (ASE). This will ensure low latency and reliable network connectivity. It also has environment-friendly features.
The Serangoon Data Centre is certified ISO 27001. It was also awarded LEED Gold Certification and Green Mark Platinum for its environmental sustainability efforts.
