On 22nd July 2022, Tai Sin together with The Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES), held a seminar on the Introduction of New Singapore Standard SS299 and its Impact on Industries.
Before the seminar started, we had Mr Ng Soon Lee, SVP at TÜV SÜD PSB Singapore, present to us the first TÜV SÜD Product Listing Scheme Certificate issued for SS299:2021. We are honoured to be the first cable manufacturer in Singapore to have our Fire Resistant Cables conform and certified according to the new SS299 standard.
Mr Yap Kong Fui, General Manager at Tai Sin Electric Limited received the certificate on behalf of the company.
During the seminar, our guest speaker Mr Tan Wei Liang, Assistant Manager at TÜV SÜD PSB Singapore, shared with us on how this newly revised SS299 standard has come about, the test methods and standards required, and what we can expect after the official launch and implementation of this new standard.
